Hello and welcome to my site! I am Chef Shruti Patel, a born and raised Los Angeles native, who grew up in a uniquely eclectic food environment. With first generation Indian parents, I was surrounded by culture steeped in tradition, spices and flavors but was also influenced by the local flavors of Los Angeles, from Latin to French and everything in between. My earliest memories of food is of shucking peas on the front porch in India with my grandmother one summer. My grandmother’s excitement of buying produce, fresh every morning, is something that has stayed with me and shaped me in the ways that I cook today. Food is made best by staying mindful of seasonality, as well as sustainability.

Upon moving to the Outer Banks in 2020, I have worked at various restaurants on the beach, while continuing to pursue private chef work. I specialize in making customized menus, brought to you, cooked at your home, served and cleaned up after.
